I had the privilege of visiting Gilberta many times over the last year and a half. I enjoyed her smile and laugh and especially her sweet tooth. She loved her Dr. Pepper. Each time we met, we closed with a time of prayer. My prayers continue to uphold you as her family.
I remember Gilberta as a lady who loved to go bowling and walking. She was doing all
she could to stay fit and healthy after the passing of her husband. She loved her family
and was so blessed to have a loving granddaughter who was also a nurse (knew
as much as any doctor) to care for her as more care was needed. Sweet lady and a
distant cousin of mine as both of us had mothers with the maiden name of Wallace.
