Geneva Lois McElhany's Obituary
Geneva Lois McElhany, 72, of Quapaw passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Integris Miami Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1945 in Wyandotte, Oklahoma to Dolph Oscar and Iva Lois (Ralston) Burleson. She worked at Eagle Picher for many years before retiring, after retirement she worked at King Louie in Baxter. She enjoyed cat fishing, working in the yard and gardening, more than anything she loved her grandkids. She loved spending time with her family. She had a selfless and pure heart that radiated from her. She was always wanting to do what she could to help others. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who always put her children and grandchildren first. She was known by many for her famous stories. No words could ever express how deeply she was loved or how much she will be missed. Her parents Dolph and Iva Lois Burleson preceded her in passing along with her three brothers Clyde, Kenneth and Leroy Burleson.
• Survivors include her children Terry and his wife Gina McElhany of Quapaw and Sherry Bass also of Quapaw, her brother Ernest Burleson of Wyandotte, and two sisters Sharon (Burleson) Smith of Illinois and Iva Jean Barton of Jary and her grandchildren, Mitchell McElhany, Matthew McElhany, Makayla McElhany, Cheyanne Bass, Shaekota Bass and Skylynne Bass.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
