Freda JoAnn "Jody" Anderson's Obituary
Freda JoAnn “Jody” Anderson, 71, of Miami, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Commerce. She was born on January 21, 1946 in Duenweg, Missouri to Robert Lee and Freda (Cherry) Anderson. She graduated with the Class of 1964 from Picher High School. She worked at B.F. Goodrich, then after its closing went to school for Diesel Mechanic, then became a Machinist. She went on to work for KMT Water jet in Baxter for over twenty-five years as a machinist. Jody was a great bowler; she loved to play and would travel to different states to play. More than anything she enjoyed her family, really enjoyed her nieces and nephews, she thought it was her job to take care of the family. Ms. Anderson was preceded in passing by her parents Robert and Freda Anderson, her brothers and sisters; Raymond Lee Anderson, Teddy Lee Anderson, Carl Russell Anderson, Billy Ray Anderson, Betty Jane “Sissy” Phelps, Gordon Eugene “Bud” Anderson, Anna Lue Glover, Barbara Sue Collins and Rosa Lea Dyer.
Survivors include her brother Robert LeRoy Anderson and his wife Margaret of Miami, her sister Catherine Marie “Bootsie” Brock and her husband Bob of Joplin, Ronald Dean Anderson and his wife Ruth of Miami along with her many, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
There will be a family viewing at 2:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Graveside Services are 1:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Glen Abbey Memorial Garden in Miami with Pastor Bob Brock officiating. Services are under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
