Frances "Cookie" Kay Youngblood's Obituary
Frances Kay "Cookie" Youngblood, 75, of Vinita, Okla., passed away early Sunday morning, December 2, 2018 at The Journey Home, in Bartlesville, Okla., after a long illness.She was born in Welch, Okla. on September 10, 1943 to Orville Langley and Fern (McCoy) Langley. She was a high school graduate. She worked as a machine operator at Cinch for 23 ½ years before retiring. She was married to her loving husband, Jerry Youngblood.She was a member of the First Church of God in Vinita. She loved fishing, spending time with her grandchildren, table games, and watching her humming birds. She loved playing cards, and was known to be quite competitive at it.She is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jim, John, and Donnie Langley.She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home; one son, Jeff Cook and wife Barbara of Pryor, Okla.; one daughter, Kerri Kirby of Lubbock, Tex.; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews.The family is honoring her request that she be cremated.The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, also in the chapel.The family asks that, please, in lieu of flowers, make a donation to The Journey Home, 900 North Washington, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
