Eric Charles Crownover's Obituary
Eric Charles Crownover, 65, a lifelong Miami resident passed away at his home on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He was born on February 2, 1951 in Miami to H. Kelley and Delores Dean (Nigh) Crownover. He married his love of forty-five years, Kathleen Atkinson, on April 10, 1971 in Commerce, Oklahoma. He was a 1969 graduate of Miami High School and attended Pitt State Vocational College. Eric worked as a splicer for B.F. Goodrich for 15 years.
He enjoyed many hobbies including reading his bible, listening to gospel music, riding motor cycles, helping with Chinese pug rescue organizations, and especially playing with and attending the activities of his grandchildren, Hallie and Devin. Additionally, Eric and Kathy were members of the Community of Christ Church. Eric was preceded in passing by his parents H. Kelley and Delores.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen Crownover of the home, his daughter Amie Harrison and her husband Keith of Miami, his two grandchildren Hallie and Devin Harrison, a sister Darla Bachman of Commerce, and his very close friends Douglas Wells and John Peacock, both of Miami.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Community of Christ Church in Miami. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
