Emma Jane Lannan's Obituary
Emma Jane Lannan, 81, a longtime Miami educator passed away at her home on Thursday, April 18, 2013. She was born on September 11, 1931 in Miami to Josef and Rose Lea (Van Horn) Schubert. In May of 1951 Jane married her husband of sixty-one years, Joe Lannan. She attained her Master’s in Education and taught first grade at Nichols Elementary School in Miami for twenty-five years. She and Joe are members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Jane is preceded in passing by her parents, Josef and Rose, and three brothers, Jack Schubert, Lloyd Schubert and William Schubert.
Survivors include her husband Joe Lannan of the home, a daughter Jeri Gramly and her husband Max of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Joe Lannan and his wife Kelly of Copan, Oklahoma and a sister Viola Reavis of Miami, her grandchildren Karissa, Kyle and Kailyn Gramly, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Jessica, Nicholas, Maggie and Samuel Lannan of Copan, Oklahoma and great grandchildren Alex, Anna and Ava of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Vigil and Rosary Services will be 7:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Cooper Memorial Chapel at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami with Father Carl Kerkemeyer officiating.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the National Parkinson Foundation and can be made in care of the funeral home.
