Ellen Bluejacket's Obituary
Ellen Bluejacket, 64, of Bluejacket, Okla., passed away Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Mo. after a short illness. Ellen was born August 4, 1952 in Elmira, NY. On July 19, 1974, she married Richard Bluejacket. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2008. She worked a number of years at Eastern State Hospital before becoming disabled. She loved her family and spending time watching game shows. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Ann (Record) Meehan-Clune, and two brothers, Marty and Michael Meehan. She is survived by one daughter, Jamie North and husband Chuck of Bluejacket; one son, Ben Bluejacket and wife Heather of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Jaron Bluejacket of Wichita, Kan., Terrell Bluejacket of Bluejacket, and Kade and Dani North of Bluejacket; four sisters, Katherine Stewart and husband James of New Castle, Pa., Sarah Ahart and husband Glenn of Watkins Glen, NY, Margaret Graziano and husband Joey of Rensselaer, NY, and Beth Bober and husband Mike of Springwater, NY; one brother, Joseph Meehan of Horseheads, NY; two special sister in laws, Mary Bluejacket and Ginni Satterwhite; along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Welch. Services will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami. Father Carl Kerkemeyer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bluejacket Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Pallbearers will be Chuck and Kade North, Terrell and Jaron Bluejacket, Leroy and Rusty Satterwhite.
