Ella M. McClendon, 82, a resident of the Miami area passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw surrounded by her family and friends. Ella was born on August 10, 1941, in Douglas, Wyoming to Elber Read Obituary
Ella Marie and I were good friends in grade school together in Douglas Wyoming. In 4th grade she became home schooled and my family moved to Casper. I did not see her for many years and on a visit to Douglas she called one of my aunts asking about me. We reconnected and stayed in touch for a few years.
She and Garry came for a visit one afternoon and we had such a good time.
She was a wonderfully delightful person and full of love!

I first meet Ella in Mami me and My late husband Leonard lived across the church we started going to church over there and made a lot of good friends Ella was a wonderful person she come and walk in side with us I would of been there if I had known I am sorry for your lost she will be so missed I loved her
I loved Aunt Ella. She was so sweet and so much fun! Will see her again in heaven.

Because of them, we have a beautiful family made complete when Garry W became a part of our family through marriage and then kept growing. Ella and Garry L also became our family. They were good humble Godly people who loved and cared for others that were often overlooked. Well done...
Ella was one of my favorites. Her wit and orneriness kept me on my toes. Her piano playing inspired us all. That pink recliner made me smile. Prayers for peace and comfort in the days to come.
The first wedding I remember attending was Ella and Garry’s in Douglas Wyoming. I remember her as a young pastor’s wife and mother when they were in Glenrock Wyoming. Later she was such an encouragement to us when we were pastoring the church in Miami Oklahoma. She played the piano for church and encouraged the speaker. She was faithful to share her testimony with others. We will be praying for the family in this time of loss.
Condolences to all who loved her. She was like a sister to me, and it was a privilege to work and worship with her.
