Marie was such a unique and lovely woman. She had many hard times but always rose above them. Plus she was just hilarious to be around. She was one of my big supporters as a “speech team mom” and went on many trips with us when her son, Doug (a multitalented young man) was on the speech and drama team. I really loved her and being around her was a delight . I only found out later she had some hard times but they never stopped her! She supported so much of what the drama kids needed and even when I was retired I thought of her do often. I know that her super talented son, Doug, was strengthened by her support - even when troubles came later and he felt like not coming home. Marie was very special- a true gift and she blessed us with the gift of Doug- so talented and smart.
