Edith Carol Duggan's Obituary
Edith Carol Duggan, 75, a longtime resident of Commerce, Okla., passed away at her home on Thursday, March 23, 2017 after a sudden illness. She was born September 19, 1941 in Commerce, Okla. to Clarence Duboise and Laura (Moss) Duboise. On April 27, 1960, she married Jack Edward Duggan in Miami. He survives of the home. In her earlier years, Edith was a waitress in the coffee shop of the Miami Hotel. She also worked at Leigh Manor Nursing Home. She then concentrated on being a housewife, the job she enjoyed most of all. Edith was a member of the Commerce Community Church. She loved to help with church dinners and was known for making costumes for church plays. She is survived by her husband; one sister, Sandra Frost of Miami; 3 sister in laws, Treva Duboise of Commerce, Marcina Johnston and husband Carroll of Miami, and Jana Chambers and husband Michael of Venus, Texas; 2 brother in laws, Charles Robert Duggan of Miami, and Allan Hamilton, also of Miami; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Kaye Conrad. Visitation will be from 3-4p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at the N.E.O. Veterans Cemetery. Pastor Herb Young will officiate. Casket bearers will be John, Scott, Arthur, and Charles Duboise and Carroll Johnston.
