Duane Richard McCollum's Obituary
Duane Richard McCollum, and eighty-two year old Miami resident passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Integris Miami Hospital. He was born in Fairbury, Illinois to Burel P. and Hazel Emma (Perkins) McCollum. Mr. McCollum was a veteran of the United States Marines. He then went on to work in the Indiana School System before his career as an Engineer for the Chrysler Corporation which he retired from. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle, his horse and being a DJ for different events. Duane was preceded in passing by his parents Burel and Hazel McCollum and a brother Bill McCollum.
Survivors include his wife Julia (Gilmore) McCollum of the home, his children Scott McCollum and his wife Debbie, Jackie Ginter, Darlene Oloff, Kara Rhoads and Jim Brown along with a sister Mary McCollum and twelve grandchildren.
Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. Duane's wishes were to be cremated.
