Reverend Donald Dean Williams' Obituary
Donald Dean Williams, 83 year old Miami, Oklahoma, resident passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at his home.
Don was born on June 25, 1935, in Picher, Oklahoma, to Arnold and Leatta (Meador) Williams. He served in the United States Army. Don also worked as a machinist, working on oil field equipment. He loved to play the guitar. Don’s friends describe him as a ‘jack of all trades’. He taught machining to family and loved to work. Don even built his own home. He married Veta Harnar on September 25th 1955 in Miami, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his wife Veta Williams; his parents, Arnold and Leatta Williams; one son, Douglas Wayne Williams; four siblings, Arlene Eddings, Rosemary Williams, Glenda Bachman and Jerry Williams and one grandson, Eric Stephens.
Don is survived by three daughters, Beverly Stephens of Joplin, Missouri, Teresa Stewart and husband Tommy of Miami, Oklahoma, and Cynthia Krider of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; one sister, Kathy Chrismon and husband Phillip of Miami, Oklahoma; one sister in law, Sue Williams of Miami, Oklahoma; grandchildren Kevin Bland, Matthew Bland, April Fallis and husband Tony, Ryan Stewart and wife Kelsey, Kristian Fleming and husband Darren, Joshua Nowlin and wife Tracie, and Britney Nowlin.
Don is also survived by great grandchildren, Rilynn Stewart, Jaren Stewart, Easton Stewart, Keagan Fleming, Mercedes Nowlin, Keanu Nowlin, AJ Fallis, Ettalyn Fallis, as well as two more great grandchildren on the way, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Long Assembly. Pastor Mike Younger will officiate. Music will be by Tony Scribner. . Serving as casket bearers will be Kevin Bland, Matthew Bland, Tony Fallis, Darren Fleming, Ryan Stewart, Joshua Nowlin, and Britney Nowlin. Interment to follow at G.A.R. cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Brown- Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Oklahoma.
