Donald Dean Stewart's Obituary
Donald D. Stewart of Welch, OK, passed away Sunday, January the 18th, 2026 at the age of 95.
He grew up in Southeast Kansas, the son of Ben and Bertha Stewart. He served two years in the Army during the Korean War where he was active in a heavy tank division.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary Stewart, a son, Steve Stewart (Kathy) of Welch, two daughters, Donna Walls of Welch and Debbie Darnell (Rob) of Chetopa, five grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son in law, Raymond Walls.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January the 23rd, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Chetopa, KS. Pastor Randy Frazier will officiate. Casket bearers will be Talon George, Carson Schertz, Rob Darnell, Brett Darnell, Josh Shertz, and Mike Brady.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Chetopa Fire Department.
