Donald J Duniphin's Obituary
Donald J. Duniphin, 89-year-old Miami, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018, following an extended illness.
Donald was born on November 19th, 1928 in New Braunfels, Texas to Samantha Duniphin Barger. He grew up on a farm south of Miami, where he attended Narcissa School and Pleasant Valley School. In June of 1948 Donald went to work for B.F. Goodrich as a forklift operator. He worked in may positions there until the plant closed down in 1986. On November 19th of 1948 Donald married Mildred Greniger in Miami, Oklahoma. After the plant closure Donald and Mildred moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where Donald worked at Gaudin Ford as a mechanic for the next 5 years. After retirement the family moved back to Miami where Donald worked as a driver for Pelivan until his health deteriorated.
Donald is proceeded in death by his parents, a brother Marvin (Jack) Duniphin, and a grandson Tracy Scott Duniphin.
Donald is survived by his wife Mildred of the home, 2 Children Janice Baldwin and husband Stephen of Mt. Home, Idaho and Michael Duniphin and wife Terre of Grove, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Miami, Oklahoma followed by a graveside service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday November 1, 2018 at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma.
