Donald E. Carder's Obituary
Donald E. Carder, 83, of rural Miami, Oklahoma, passed away September 20, 2014 at Windridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Miami. Donald was born August 31, 1931 in Cardin, OK to Ernest and Mary (Page) Carder. He proudly served his country with the United States Army. On July 30, 1953, he married his sweetheart, Berta, in Bluejacket, OK. He worked 31 years as a tire maker for B.F. Goodrich before its closure. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Berta; twin sons, Donald Carder of Miami and Ronald Carder of Smyrna, GA, son, Donald Eugene Carder of Quapaw; 2 daughters, Debra Cannon of the home, and Kimberly Keene of Miami; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Lloyd Carder of Afton; 2 sisters, Mabel Allemann of Commerce, and Velma Perry of Monett, MO; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK. Chaplain Geoff Buffalo will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
