Dear Don, It doesn’t seem possible that you’ve been in Heaven 8 years already! I still think of you often and miss our talks and special times together! You were a very special friend to me, and I’ll always cherish that. We will meet again one day, but until then, enjoy your time with Jesus, and your friends and family there.

So sad at Donnie's passing. Also sorry we couldn't make it to his service. I guess we will see him later. As cousins I have a lot of memories from our younger days.
One of Don's most distinguishing characteristics was his compassion for others, whether he was leading his Tribe or helping a personal friend/neighbor. His deep love of God was evident in everything he did.
I have known Don for many years. He was a great guy and will be missed by many. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Once again, The Creator called another son home to be with for eternity. I only knew Don a few short years, but in that time I got to know a wonderful giving person. Don, you will be missed by many. Until we meet again

I knew Donnie in High School, and after moving away shortly after graduation, had reconnected with him the past couple of years. He was a wonderful strong Christian man who truly loved his Lord! He will definitely be missed.
Don was an amazing, intelligent, dedicated, and hard working man. He brought so much knowledge and good will to the Ottawa Tribe. He gave me and taught me as the Chief of the Ottawa Tribe to follow your heart and your heart must always be with your Tribe and the Tribal Members. Go in peace Don and I know your spirit will always be with us.
