Deloris Mae Smith's Obituary
Deloris Mae Smith, 72, of rural Bluejacket, Okla., passed away Thursday morning, January 21, 2021 at her home, after a sudden illness.
She was born November 8, 1948 in Miami, Okla. to Bill and Martha (Mooney) Fairsheets. She was a high school graduate. She was married to the love of her life, Roger Smith. She retired from Eastern State Hospital in Vinita after 20 years of service. She also worked as a home health aide. She was a hardworking country woman, and her spare time was spent crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Roger, of the home; two children, Sandy Sowell and Gene Bensley, both of Bluejacket; two siblings, Bill Fairsheets of Strang, OK, and Joann Clark of Portland, OR; six grandchildren, Taylor, Cordell, and Cody Bensley. DJ, Mikalah, and Falynn Sowell; four great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at the Bluejacket Cemetery. Pastor Skip McClain will officiate. Cordell Bensley, Cody Bensley, and Taylor Bensley will be casket bearers.
