Dariel Lee Cooksey's Obituary
Dariel Lee Cooksey, 69, of Welch, OK, passed away at his home on July 23rd, 2024, after a sudden illness.
He was born May 12th,1955 in Corcoran, CA to Elmer and Okla Mae (Harness) Cooksey. He was a high school graduate. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country for 6 years, 9 months, and 7 days. While in the Army. he served as a diesel mechanic, a trade he continued for many years after his discharge.
On February 8, 1991, he married Jerri Brown in a ceremony in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in Welch for several years before she passed away on July 7th, 2020.
Dariel loved to ride his motorcycle and take care of his dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a daughter Myra; a sister, Linda McAnish of Missouri; and a brother-in-law, Matt Brown of Welch.
He will be laid to rest, along with his wife, Jerri, in the NEO Veterans Cemetery in Miami, OK.
