Clifton Dale Redden's Obituary
Pastor Clifton Dale Redden, 63, of Columbus, KS passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Freeman Health System in Joplin. He was born on October 10, 1957 in Sacramento, CA to Joe “Cub” and Velma Dale (Davis) Redden. Clif attended Picher public schools through high school. He started his first church in Cardin, OK when he was in his early 20’s, and after moving back to this area, started United In Christ in Picher, OK in 1995. After the buy-out, United In Christ was relocated to it’s current location in Quapaw, OK. During the years, Clif worked in jail and prison ministries as well as participating in drug rehab ministries. Clif touched many people’s lives with the love of Christ that resides in him. In addition to the ministry, Clif worked many years doing appliance and HVAC repair. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Cub and Velma Redden, brother Joe Redden, and sister Connie Simon.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Redden and daughters Adelle and Arecca Redden of the home, his children Travis Redden and wife Megan of Celina, TX, Israel Redden of Independence, KS, William Fry of Miami, OK, and Andrea Truster of Galena, KS, his siblings Mary Hilderbrand of Baxter Springs, KS, Ernie Redden of Miami, OK, Linda Bush and her husband, Al of Coffeyville, KS, Joyce Boyd of Baxter Springs, KS, Alan Redden and his wife, Angela of Skiatook, OK, his grandchildren Lia Knippa of Raymore, MO, Anson Redden and Rowen Redden of Pittsburg, KS, and Mason Redden of Celina, TX plus many precious nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at United In Christ church, 609 S Main Street, Quapaw, OK.
Pastor’s Celebration of Life will be at 1:00pm on Monday, November 2, 2020 at United In Christ church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
