Chris John Brown's Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to share the sudden departure of our sweet beloved father, Chris John Brown. He left this world at the young age of 57 on August 29th, 2024. He leaves behind his two heartbeats, his daughter and son, Ashalie and Aaron Brown who will miss him beyond measure until the day comes when he can hold them again.
In all pursuits, whether professional, personal or spiritual, he gave all he had and achieved extraordinary success. Most notable of all, though, was his success with becoming a father who loved and supported his children in all their life decisions. Dad was gentle, kind, thoughtful, free-spirited and very humorous. He always said humor was his best medicine. To know Dad is to know a comedian and he loved his audience. He always told us that his energy sparked when he made others laugh. You never heard the same joke twice, which takes talent. He would tweak a word or two here and there but always made it his own. Dad was so authentically himself and had an unforgettable sense of humor. He is just an unforgettable man.
He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Utah where he attended Spanish Fork High School. He remained in Utah for the majority of his life and started his family in Utah County. In recent years, he moved to Oklahoma where he met his final destination. We know he is tickled, as he would say, to come back home to Utah where he will remain with his children.
Dad was recently paralyzed from a bicycle accident in October (‘23) and endured a lot of life-altering events throughout his younger years as well. He was a strong man and grew stronger with each punch that life threw, and he always encouraged his loved ones to take care of themselves and to be safe and live a long healthy life. We know he is free of pain now and know that he is biking, camping, fishing and enjoying his freedom in heaven away from the suffering he endured in his physical body.
“You stay tough and keep your head up! I pray that you are successful in everything you do in life.” - Chris Brown
He is surrounded by those who mattered most to him on Earth and was undoubtedly greeted with enthusiasm by his loved ones before him, especially his mother and father, Laurel and Duane Brown. He is survived by his two children, Ashalie and Aaron Brown (Gabriel). his partner, Carol Greenhalgh, his two sisters Laurie Ramos (Seamues) and Michelle Brown, Nieces and Nephews of Laurie and Seamues, cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends. Dad spoke highly of his family and friends - always remember he loves us all dearly.
