Charles Wesley Spring, Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Wesley Spring, Jr., of rural Miami, Okla., passed away Wednesday evening, February 16th, 2022, at Miami Nursing Center. He was 83 years old.
He was born at home December 9th, 1938 in Loudoun County, Virginia, in a rural area near the town of Leesburg. His parents were Charles Wesley Spring, Sr. and Virginia (Goss) Spring.
Charles married the former Lucille Henson on January 21st, 1970, in Smithfield, TX. He served his country in the United States Navy for 8 years and 6 months. After his discharge, he went to work for the Federal Government working for the General Service Administration. He worked in several different Federal Buildings.
He loved gardening, hunting, and trapping. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Martha and Donald; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of the home; one son, Donnie Spring of Middlesbury, VA, and six step children, Darriel, Dale, Sheila, Daniel, Douglas, and Deland; three siblings, Jane Williams, Thomas Spring, and David Spring; 29 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch, Sunday, February 20th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. A meal will follow at the family home at 52150 East 110 Road, Miami, OK.
