Charles Lee Smith's Obituary
Charles Lee Smith, 77, a lifelong resident of rural Welch, OK, passed away Tuesday morning, July the 16th, 2024, after a period of declining health.
He was born on the family farm on August the 23rd, 1946 to his parents, Thurston and Laveta (Arnold) Smith. He attended Welch Public Schools.
Charles enjoyed life on the farm. He was a welder, and he specialized in building stock trailers from the ground up. He loved hunting and going to the sale barn on sale day.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by four daughters, Ann Hasty, Lori Uribe, Lynda Torres, and Lana Nino; three sisters, Carma Jean Thomas, Eldena Wright, and Patsy Arnold; two brothers, Harlan Smith and Dewey Smith; 9 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later time.
The family entrusted their arrangements to the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home.
