Charles Lloyd Darr, Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Lloyd Darr, Jr., of North Miami, Okla., passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon, December 22nd, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old.
He was born October 26th, 1949 in Picher, Okla. to Charles Lloyd Darr, Sr. and Betty Jean (Goodwin) Darr. He was a graduate of Picher High School. After high school, he obtained his Associate Degree from NEO A&M College in Miami. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked 34 ½ years at KMT Water Jet before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Those mourning his loss include his wife, Kay, of the home; his mother, Betty Jean Darr; four children, Charles Darr, III of Joplin, Walter Richard Darr and wife Lindsay of Commerce, John Eric Darr and wife Cassandra of North Miami, and Katie Marie Prater and husband Kenne of North Miami; two brothers, Randy Darr of Bluejacket, and Darell Darr of Round Rock, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, at the Walker Cemetery, northwest of Welch. Chaplain Geoff Buffalo will officiate.
