Charles Lyle Craig's Obituary
Charles Lyle Craig, 85, of Vinita, Oklahoma, passed away early Friday morning, December 4, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Charles was born in Dearing, Kansas on February 15, 1935 to Dennis L. and Bernice M. (Robinson) Craig. After graduating high school, he attended college and earned his Associates Degree.
He joined the United States Army and served his country for three years. He worked a number of years for the Kansas Turnpike Authority. Later, he went to work for Allis Chalmers in the farm equipment manufacturing business, working as a parts worker. His last job was working for the Postal Service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominos, and watching his favorite television shows.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two cousins, Danny and Ronnie Oakes.
He is survived by two first cousins, Juanita Oakes and Mike Fitzpatrick; and two second cousins, Karen Carlson and Donnie Oakes.
Charles will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Robbins Cemetery in Dearing, Kansas at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
