Carolyn Jones' Obituary
Carolyn Sue Jones beloved mother and grandmother, cherished daughter, faithful sister, accomplished woman, and respected teacher passed into eternity on Mon April 21st 2014 at 2:10 pm. Carolyn age 59 was born on the same day as her mother Feb 16th in Long Beach California. Carolyn was survived by her beautiful mother Clara Jo Mayes, her father Horace Wendell Jones, her sister Faith Bethany Jones, Her two brothers Willard Pete Jones & John David Mayes, and her two Nephews Austin Jamison Mayes and Dylan Wade Mayes. She also left behind three beautiful children Nakiesha Renee Johnson, Jennifer Beth Tippett, & Matthew Ryan Jones as well as nine beloved grandchildren Serena, Kaylun, Jaden, Jillian, Gabriel, Madilyn, Kadince, Ashlynn, and Jaxson.
Along with several other accomplishments in her life Carolyn earned her masters degree in education and her masters degree in nursing. Carolyn was also recognized by many professional organizations for her many accomplishments.
The Life Carolyn lived was one of honor, integrity, and selflessness. She constantly put aside her own needs to help others. The loving kindness she displayed in everything she did and to everyone she knew is a testimony that will live on for eternity. Looking back on her life we can all learn lessons of forgiveness, love, and dedication.
As Carolyn passed from this life her favorite song Sentimental Journey was played on the I Phone by her daughter Nakiesha and a single tear fell from her eye. Her three children stood by her side and watched her breathe her last breath in this life and rested in the fact that she breathed a new breath in heaven.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee, OK. Interment following.
