Carol June Nading's Obituary
Carol J. Nading, age 80, of Welch, Okla., passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, July 23, 2021. She was born June 11, 1941 in Welch to Helen and Harry Gordon Williamson. She was the second of eight children. She grew up in, and lived her entire life around the Welch area.
She worked 20 years in the coal industry for Bill Patch. She then worked for Assy Publishing Company and retired after working there for 20 years. After retirement, she became a volunteer at Integris Miami Hospital, volunteering until her death. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and attending all the activities they were involved in. She was a member of the Welch Christian Church.
Carol is survived by her children, Charles Walls and wife Tammy of Welch, Darrel Walls and wife Connie of rural Vinita, and Karri Pogue and husband Ken of Miami; six grandchildren, Dr. Korby Pogue and wife Brandi of West Plains, MO, Kendra Robinson and husband John of Commerce, OK, Kade Pogue of Miami, Cassy Madden and husband Aaron of Tulsa, Amber Marlow and husband Jason of Miami, and Mellissa Elms and husband John of Copan, OK; 11 great grandchildren that always brought joy to her life; her siblings, Bob Williamson and wife Lola, Linda Schoonover and husband Larry, Louise Hardaway and husband Jim, Rhonda Price and husband Tim, and Melody Wright and husband Rodney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Eugene and Gordon Jr. Williamson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Welch Christian Church. Jesse Burns will officiate. Burial will follow in the Williams Timberhill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her parents. Casket bearers will be Dr. Korby Pogue, Kade Pogue, Aaron Madden, John Robinson, Jason Marlow, John Elms, and Tyler Webster.
