Carol Sue Bond's Obituary
Carol Sue "Susie" Bond, a longtime resident of Miami, passed away Thursday evening, October 20th, 2022, at Freeman Health System in Joplin.
She was born June 28th, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to Lawrence and Mildred (Monyhan) Campbell. After graduating high school, she entered the work force. On June 23rd, 1959, she married the love of her life, Frank Bond, in a ceremony in Miami. They made their home in Miami where they raised their two daughters.
She worked 30 years as a secretary in the insurance business. She worked for Farmers Insurance, the Garwood Agency, and lastly with INS. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Fairland.
She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She volunteered frequently at church with whatever needed to be done, mostly food drives and funeral dinners.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on August 24, 2014, her parents, and a brother, Larry Campbell.
She is survived by two children, Sarah Morgan and husband Mike of Fairland, and Christiana Bond of Miami; a brother, Stephen Campbell; grandchildren, Jessica Baker, Jamie Estep, Ashley Lawson, and Jordan Battenfield; great grandchildren, Braiden Jarman, Avery Shoultz, Dianna, Jason, and Moses Estep, Isabelle, Ruby, Maxx, and Charlie Lawson, and Carter and Alizae Battenfield.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Fairland. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Jackie Crafton will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in GAR Cemetery, Miami.
