Carl Gene Jett's Obituary
Carl Gene Jett, 74, of Chetopa, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, December 27, 2021, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas after an illness.
He was born June 13th, 1947 in Chetopa to Birket Squire Jett and Nora Ellen (Mundy) Jett. He was a high school graduate. He continued his education and became a certified Ford mechanic.
He worked many years for the Ford dealership in Oswego and Don Myer Ford in Baxter Springs. He then went to work for the City of Miami as a mechanic. After retiring, he enjoyed shooting and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Ruth Marshall, Leona Jett, and Dora Jett.
He is survived by two sons, Scott and Brent Jett of Welch; two brothers, Jack Jett of Dennis, Kans., and Marvin Jett of Wichita, Kans.; along with 10 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 3rd, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery, east of Chetopa.
