Dr. Bryan Edward Swan, age 61, died peacefully on May 30, 2021 of a sudden, unexpected hemorrhagic stroke while doing one of his favorite activities, playing pickle ball with his wife of 30 years, Leslie Karel (Barnes) Swan. Brya Read Obituary
So sorry to hear that Dr. Swan passed away. He delivered our miracle baby 27 years ago, we will always be thankful for him. He was a wonderful and caring doctor. Prayers for his beautiful family.
Bryan was always the nice guy in school. He dated one of my best friends and was always polite and courteous to everyone who knew him. He was a good athlete and loved to play for the Claremore Zebras. He always had many friends but God was first to him. Rest securely in God’s beloved arms. You are finally home.

I remember riding trail bikes in elementary school together. Playing sports together. Now, all these years later, reading about your history of bringing life into this world as a Doctor, and A great husband, father and role model.

Bryan was one of our high school Sunday school class young men. He was always so very sweet and loved the Lord. He was our son Clay’s football hero and the Claremore Progress even did a story on Bryan and Clay’s unique friendship. Clay was only 2 yrs old when Bryan gave him his Claremore Zebra football chin strap. We still have that! I know he is so happy to see his Lord but will be missed so much here. Our prayers continue for the family.
Dr. Swan was my attending during residency and every single resident looked forward to working with him. He was so patient, kind, found every opportunity to teach, and his patients loved him. I cherish our times together in the OR. He is clearly loved by so many, and my thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family. Nothing seemed to bring him more happiness than talking about his beautiful wife and daughters. I had the pleasure of meeting Hannah, who has the same caring spirit as her dad. Thank you ladies for sharing him with us, we are all better for it.
I first met Bryan when he was a student or resident and I was faculty at OU Medical School. I was impressed then, but lost track of him until we were both OB hospitalists at St John Medical Center starting in 2012. Of course, he was an incredibly kind, thorough, respectful, knowledgeable, hardworking and skilled physician, but my most remarkable memories of him are of the love that would shine in his face any time he spoke of Leslie or of their daughters. I hope that the four of them know completely that his love will never leave them. I am honored to have had him as a colleague.
