Brenton Matthew Shrum's Obituary
Brenton Matthew Shrum, 18, of Bluejacket, Okla., passed away tragically on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, in Centralia.
He was born July 31st, 2004 in Vinita, Okla. to Dennis Ray Shrum, Jr. and Christina Marie Dotson. He attended Bluejacket Schools through the 10th grade. He worked for himself as a laborer doing mostly fencing for ranchers or any job that came his way. He loved hunting, fishing, swimming, arrowhead hunting, and being outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father; and his two grandfathers, Ron Dotson and Dennis Shrum, Sr.
His is survived by his mother, Christina Dotson, of the home in Bluejacket; five siblings, Sierra Shrum of Welch, Christopher Shrum of Cleora, Denton Dotson of Bluejacket, Jordan Thomas of Bluejacket, and Trenton Dotson and wife Laura of Welch; his two grandmothers, Betty White of Bluejacket, and Donna Shrum of Tulsa; a great grandmother, Marie Getz of Combs, AR; and numerous cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 16th, at the Ketchum Cemetery. Pastor Loren Beck will officiate. He will be laid to rest next to his father.
Casket bearers will be his siblings, Sierra, Christopher, Denton, and Trenton, along with Anthony Dotson and Tristen Dotson.
