Billy Leroy Gabbard's Obituary
Billy Leroy Gabbard, 84, a longtime resident of Miami, Oklahoma, passed away on May 29, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Billy was born on January 30, 1942, in Foreman, Arkansas, to Everett and Ideal (Anderson) Gabbard. Billy graduated high school in Foreman, Arkansas, in 1960, and later served his country in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, Billy started working for BF Goodrich until the plant closed. He would later work for Wiseda building large mining trucks and then J and J Railcars until his retirement. In 1999, he married Jackie Brock in Miami. He and Jackie would spend almost twenty-seven years together, creating many wonderful memories. In his spare time, he liked spending time in his garage, fishing, camping, and traveling. He and Jackie would spend time traveling to Alaska, Idaho, Arkansas and Texas visiting family. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, making many wonderful memories together. Mr. Gabbard is preceded in passing by his parents, Everett and Ideal Gabbard, siblings, Betty Smith, Barbara Stuart, Clara Betts, Tony Gabbard, Everett Gabbard, Louis Gabbard, Diane Nolin, Debbies Rogers, and daughter-in-law, Abby Hughes.
Those left to share the memory of Mr. Gabbard include his wife, Jackie Gabbard, children Sara Pitts and husband Rod, Mike Gabbard and wife Samantha, Rhonda Hughes, and stepchildren, Ginger Weaver and husband Joseph, and Chad Sebeniecher.
Cremation services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami, Oklahoma.
There will be a graveside service for Mr. Gabbard at a later date.
