Beverly Jean Kays' Obituary
Beverly Jean Kays, 72, of Grove, Okla., passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, after a sudden illness.
She was born January 6th, 1950 in Miami, Okla. to C.L "Stu" Parker and Betty (McAffrey) Parker. She was a graduate of Welch High School. After graduation, she attended college for a time earning college hours for courses of interest to her.
On June 28th, 1969, she married the love of her life, Ronald Kays, at a ceremony at the Welch Christian Church. They raised a son and a daughter who they dearly loved. She worked 10 years for the Duncan Public Schools as a secretary and librarian. After many years of hard work, she and Ronald retired. They made their home in Grove on Grand Lake, with a tranquil view of the water.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron, and her father, C.L. "Stu" Parker.
Family left to mourn her loss include two children, Jennifer Ratcliff and husband Jay of Springdale, AR, and Jason Kays and wife Shelly of Oklahoma City; her mother, Betty Parker of Grove; three siblings, Patricia Neil and husband Bob of Welch, OK, Roger Parker and wife Susie of Afton, OK, and Becky Stewart of Afton, OK; four grandchildren, Kade and Kenzie Ratcliff, and Parker and Abbey Kays; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
Family graveside services will be held at the Welch Cemetery. Minister Jesse Burns will officiate.
