Betty Fern Robinson's Obituary
Betty Fern Robinson, 75, of Commerce, Okla., passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long illness. She was born January 16, 1940, in Baxter Springs, KS to Harry Miner and Bertha (Bosley) Miner. She attended school through the 8th grade, but later continued her studies and obtained her GED. Betty worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 35 years, working a number of years at the Miami Nursing Center. She was member of the VFW Auxillary. She loved to collect angels, antiques, and ceramic dolls. Her biggest love was remodeling houses. Betty was married for many years to Thomas H. Robinson. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2002. She is also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Johnny Berryman and Marty Berryman, 2 grandchildren, Joey Berryman and James Boyce, and 2 sisters, Ethel Grazier and Lela Brown. She is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Wilkinson, of the home; Julie Berryman of Miami, Okla,; 4 sons, John Berryman and wife Edmae, of Deer Lodge, Mont.; Jody Berryman, of Commerce, Okla., James Berryman, of Wyandotte, Okla., and Jerry Baker and wife Melissa of Peoria, Okla.; one brother, Herman Miner, of Carterville, Missouri; 3 sisters, Hazel Rupe, of Grove, Okla., Margaret Allen, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Linda Grube, of Miami, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Open Arms Ministry in North Miami, Okla., with Pastor Kenneth Miner officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. and will last until the service begins at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Timothy Fleming, Scott Fleming, Brian Baker, Kevin Baker, Rocky Baker, and Albert Ray Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Airon Baker, Shawn Berryman, Andrew Berryman, Daniel Berryman, Michael Boyce, and Charles Stacy.
