Berta Rae Carder's Obituary
Berta Rae Carder, 78, of rural Miami, OK, passed away at her home on March 15, 2016 after a short illness. She was born August 1, 1937 in Bluejacket, OK to Elisha Hartsock and Jewel (Lucas) Hartsock. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working many years at the Care Nursing Home and at Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami. She cherished her children and grandchildren. Berta was married to Donald E. Carder. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Berta is survived by two daughters, Debra Cannon of the home, and Kimberly Keene of Miami; three sons, Donald Carder of Norman, OK, Ronald Carder of Smyrna, GA, and Donald Eugene Carder of Quapaw, OK; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Welch. Pastor Geoff Buffalo will officiate. Berta will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Williams Timberhill Cemetery, east of Welch.
