Bernice Kay Sampson's Obituary
Bernice Kay Sampson, 71, of Fairland, Oklahoma passed away October 30, 2014 at Hillcrest Medical Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bernice was born in Dupree, South Dakota November, 20th 1942 where she attended and graduated high school. She married the love of her life, George Sampson, in 1962 and moved to Grove from Tulsa in 1967, where they raised their 3 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Eulalah Maynard of Eagle Butte, South Dakota.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, devoted mother and enjoyed being with her family. From doctoring cattle to baking her famous rhubarb pie she excelled in all measures. She was a mentor to her children, grandchildren and nieces & nephews and truly made the world a better place.
Bernice is survived by Husband George Sampson Sr. of Fairland; Son George Jr & wife Teresa, granddaughter Natalie & grandson Cooper of Grove, Ok; Son Will & wife Jill, grandson Will Jr, granddaughters Eulalah, Katie, Karly, Kelsey of Fairland, Ok; Daughter Jammie (Sampson) McLain, granddaughter Cori & grandson Carson of Vinita,Ok.
Brother Gene & wife Renee Maynard of Dawson Creek B.C; Brother Lyle and Pasty(late) Maynard of Eagle Butte, S.D; Brother Ralph & Kathy Maynard of Albuquerque, NM.
12 nephews, 8 nieces, 9 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren
Viewing will be held at Brown-Winters Funeral home and Cremation Service in Fairland from 4-6pm Sunday, November 2nd.
Graveside service will Monday, November 3rd at Olympus Cemetery in Grove at 2:00 pm under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
