Bernice Lee Brown's Obituary
Bernice Lee Brown, 91, of Bluejacket, Okla., passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2017 at her home, with her family at her side. She was born July 13, 1925 in Miami, Okla. to K.C. Williams, Sr. and Fannie Agnes (Meador) Williams. She was married to Wilbert Niles (Bert) Brown for many years. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1975. Bernice was a member of the Church of Christ. She deeply loved her family. She worked for many years at the Glen Berry Sewing Factory and also at the Parsons Army Ammunition Plant. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, K.C. Williams, Jr. and Virgil Williams; and a sister in law, Norma Williams. She is survived by her children, Ron Brown of Hendersonville, NC, and Nilus Jean (Jeanie) Wesley of Miami, Okla.; grandchildren, Cindy Speer of Bluejacket, Richard Lynn (Lenny) Cravens of Pryor, Ranel Cravens of Afton, Daniel Brown of Cistern, TX, and Jennifer (Brown) Lear of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, James Brown of Cistern, TX, Calvin Lear of Houston, TX, Leeann Speer of Bluejacket, Heather Simmons of Bluejacket, Hali Fulton of Vinita, Brett Speer of Bluejacket, Erick Cravens of Pryor, Brandon Cravens of Pryor, and Nicole Murray of Webb City, MO; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 nieces and nephews. In keeping with Bernice's wishes, a private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of any flowers, friends are asked to make a donation in Bernice's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o Thomas Funeral Home, P.O. Box 231, Welch, OK 74369.
