Beatrice Fern Langley's Obituary
Beatrice Fern Langley, 92, of Vinita, OK, went to meet the Lord, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. Fern was born February 4, 1920 in near Bluejacket, Craig County, Oklahoma to William Isaiah and Georgia Frances (Logsdon) McCoy. She married Orville Langley on December 23, 1937. Together they had 4 children; 3 boys and 1 girl. Fern enjoyed working at Lucille's Flower Shop with her sister, Lucille. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the First Church of God in Vinita. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; her parents, William and Georgia McCoy; sons, Donnie Mac, Orville Leroy (John) and William Robert (Jim) Langley; sister, Lucille Thach; half brother, Claude McCoy; half sisters, Minnie Vandever and Maude McMurtie; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jane Langley Mays; and 1 great-grandson, Seth Wayne Newhart. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Kay "Cookie" Langley Youngblood and her husband Jerry of Vinita; daughter-in-law, Carrie Langley of Vinita; grandchildren, Tim and Laketa Langley of Grove, Katricia and Chris Hughes of Vinita, Bryan and Susie Langley of Miami, Barbara Langley of Bluejacket, Kerri and John Comley of Lubbock, TX, Jeff and Barbara Cook of Pryor, and John and Darla Langley of Perryville, MO; 21 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the First Church of God, Vinita. Rev. Eddie Wrinkle will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Brady, Tanner, Chad, and Wesley Langley, Heath Hughes, Chance Newhart, Thad McKinney, Chase Cook, Joshua and Jordon Comley. Honorary pallbearers Tim and Bryan Langley, John Langley, Jeff Cook, John Seth Wayne Hughes, and Jack Davenport. Interment at Bluejacket Cemetery, Bluejacket, OK. Services under the direction of Jim Thomas, Thomas Funeral Home, Welch.
