Barbara Durick's Obituary
Barbara Ann Durick, 77, a resident of Monkey Island passed away at her home on Monday, November 24, 2014. Mrs. Durick was born January 4, 1937 in Popes Chapel, Oklahoma to Oliver and Evelyn (McDaniel) Chambers. Barbara married her husband of twenty-six years Dr. William Durick in January of 1988. She retired as a medical records director; she worked at the Claremore Hospital and then Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. Mrs. Durick enjoyed going antiquing and being an antique dealer. Barbara was preceded in passing by her parents Oliver and Evelyn and two brothers Jack Chambers and Billy Joe Chambers.
Survivors include her husband Dr. William Durick of the home, her children, Max Allen Cook and his wife Debbie of Claremore, Denise McDonald and her husband Mark of Norman, Dr. Paul G. Durick of Atlanta, David J. Durick and his wife Legend of Rochester, New York, Kathryn L. Durick of Riverdale, New York and Jennifer L. Durick of Claremore. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Dustin Cook, Michael Cook, Bryce McDonald, Chelsea McDonald, Claire Durick Glenn, David Durick and Frank McDonald, her great grandchildren Keeton Cook, Jeffery Cook and Hailey Cook along with her brothers Lonnie Chambers of Wainwright, Johnnie Chambers of Muskogee, Jim K. Chambers of Warner and Oliver Chambers of Checotah.
Vigil Services will be 6:00 PM Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland, Oklahoma.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove with Father Alex Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolston Cemetery on Monkey Island under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
