Barbara Mae Coffman's Obituary
Barbara Mae (Dugan) Coffman, 81, of Afton passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. Mrs. Coffman was born April 20, 1933 in Marland, Oklahoma to Elmer and Elva (Griffith) Dugan. She married Coy Dale Coffman on May 23, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mae was a LPN for many years; she retired from Eastern State Hospital. She enjoyed watching movies, was an avid reader, collected dolls and was of the Catholic Faith. As many friends and family know she would also support groups in the blind community since she herself was once blind. Mae was preceded in passing by her parents Elmer and Elva Dugan, her husband Coy Dale Coffman, Sr., her brothers Dannel Ray Dugan, Roy Dean Dugan, and Francis Dugan.
Survivors include her children Coy Dale Coffman Jr. and his wife Debbie of Wake Village, Texas, Gordon Scott Coffman and his wife Becky of Vinita, David Neil Coffman of Afton, Ray Dean Coffman and his wife Evelyn of Grove, Bobby Jay Coffman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Sheri Anne Tipton and her husband Troy of Grove, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren, a twin sister Fae Long of Afton, sister Georgie Johnson of Afton and a sister in law Wilma Dugan of Afton.
Services are 1:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton with Reverend Alex Kennedy officiating.
