Archie Alan Johnson's Obituary
Archie Alan Johnson, 69, of Chetopa, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his home after an accidental fall.
He was born May 9, 1951 in Oswego, Kansas to Henry and Freda (Ferguson) Johnson. He was a high school graduate. He was married to the former Betty J. Evans Nowlin. She passed away on August 24, 2006.
For over twenty years, Archie worked for Power Flame in Parsons. He was a welder, working in the fabrication department. When he had spare time, he loved fishing, dominoes, playing cards, game shows, the outdoors, but most of all, his grandchildren. He attended Faith Victory Church in Chetopa.
He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and several siblings.
The surviving to mourn his loss include four children, Ronda Smith and husband Jerry of Joplin, Paul Nowlin, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Clinton, Okla., Tammy Wion of Fairland, Okla., and Matthew Nowlin of Clinton, Okla.; three siblings, Lucille Canada of Chetopa, Bill Johnson of Chetopa, Linda Castle of Bonner Springs, Kans., and Bobby Johnson of Olathe, Kans.; over twenty grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
