Anna Marie Wilson's Obituary
Anna Marie Wilson, 75, of Welch, passed away July 15, 2019, at her home after a short illness.
She was born September 25, 1943, in Cardin, OK to Forrest Russell Evans, Sr. and Juanita Mae (Evans) Watson. She married Holly W. Wilson in Eureka Springs, AR. He passed away March 25, 2018, after 26 years of marriage.
She worked for several years as a cook at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. She then returned to doing what she loved most, being a homemaker. She loved to crochet, fishing, playing bingo, and going to the casinos. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Holly W. Wilson; a son, Gerald Franklin Sloan; her parents; 4 brothers, and 6 sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Deanna Marquis and husband Tony of Vinita, and Carrie Camp and husband Gary of Hollister, MO; one son, William Southern; 8 siblings, Charles David Lawson of Oswego, KS, Charles Thomas Lawson, Jr. of Oswego, KS, Shirley Gayle Yearton of Joplin, MO, Lenora Brown of Oswego, KS, Tina Johnson of Welch, OK, Peggy Miller of Oswego, KS, Holly Nave of Chetopa, KS, and Sharon Gero of Shandoah, IA; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life honoring Anna will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home Chapel in Welch. Pastor Freddie Griffin will officiate. There will be a private burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, KS.
