Anna D. Broyles' Obituary
Anna D. "Pat" Broyles, 85, of Vinita, OK, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born October 26, 1931 in Commerce, OK to William D. Kelly and Frankie (Osborne) Kelly. Anna married the love of her life, Don Broyles, on August 26, 1948. From this union, they had three beautiful children. They made their home north of Welch. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Twelve years ago, they moved to Vinita. Anna was a graduate of Commerce High School. After marrying Don, she became a housewife, caring for the family home north of Welch and raising their children. It was a honor she truly enjoyed. They faithfully attended the Welch Baptist Church where she was active with funeral dinners and helping with the community Thanksgiving dinner. After moving to Vinita, she worshipped at the First Baptist Church in Vinita, where she considered the member's an extended part of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and seven sisters. She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home; one son, David Broyles and wife Sue of Colcord, OK; their Son, David Broyles and wife Tonya. David and Tonya's children, David Janson Broyles, Brody Allan Broyles, Amelia Broyles, Mariah Whiteday, and Kindra Whiteday; David and Sue's Daughter, Jackalyn Madding and husband Matt. Jackalyn and Matt's son, Dylan Grayson Madding. Daughter, Kathy Edwards and husband, Jerry, of Vinita, their Son, Donnie Henry and wife Alicia, Daughter, Alicia Young and husband Matt, and Daughter, Andrea Buffington and husband Floyd. Andrea and Floyd's son, Seth Buffington and daughter Lanie. Cindy Kolb and husband, Al, of Indianapolis, IN., their Son, Chad; Chad's children, Stephen, Lauren, and Noah Ayers. Chad has one grandson, Kayden; 2 Daughter's, Kristi Stewart and husband Bobby; and Bonna Jean Cooney and husband Chris. B.J. and Chris's children, Penny, Michael, and Aylan Cooney. Survivors also include one brother, John Kelly of Texas; and a host of friends. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Vinita. Officiating will be Pastor C.G. Gilmore and Pastor Skip McClain. Serving as casket bearers will be Bill Winderweedle, Jimmy Owenby, Lee Hale, Billy Herd, Kevin Mayfield, and Bill Fansler. Interment at Welch Cemetery, Welch, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Vinita.
