Anellia E. Barker's Obituary
Anellia E. Barker, 70, of Chetopa, Kansas, passed away October 7, 2012 at Oswego Medical Center, after a sudden and short battle with leukemia. She was born January 25, 1942 in Chicago, IL. In 1965, she married Jerry Barker in Oswego, KS. The couple made their home in Chetopa. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2010. Anellia worked as a health care provider for many years. She enjoyed home decorating, arts and crafts, and shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. She is survived by 2 daughters, Bonnie Gilley of Chetopa, and Pamela Sue Walker-James of Parsons, KS; 1 step-son, Jerry Wayne Barker of Bartlett; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church, Chetopa. Rev. Raymond Whetstone will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Oakhill Cemetery, Chetopa.
