Mable Marie Turner

Mable Marie Turner, 86, a resident of Commerce, Oklahoma, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, Sunday, October 26, 2025. Mable was born on January 21, 1939, to Willie and Dora Morris. She graduated from Miami High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, Bill Turner on October 4, 1957. Together they would spend many wonderful years together. Mable wore many hats, she enjoyed helping Bill with the bookkeeping for their business, raising their children, tending to her beautiful flower garden, and helping out at the church. Mable loved working with the children of the church. She was active in vacation bible school, children’s church, and making dinner for the Wednesday night children’s ministry. Most of all she loved her family, church, and attending as many of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities as possible. Mable is preceded in passing by her parents, Willie and Dora Morris, and her siblings, Lurinda Berry, Bob Morris, Henry Morris, and Opal Herndon. Those left to share the beautiful memory of Mrs. Turner include her husband of sixty-eight years, Bill Turner, daughters, Regina Snyder and her husband Rick of Poteau, Oklahoma, Lorri Manning and her husband Dennis of Miami, and two sisters, Mary Cox and Lela Roberts, and a bonus son, Darin Herndon. Grandchildren include Amber Lynch, Josh Snyder, Jake Manning, Luke Manning, great grandchildren, Stihl Snyder, Trek Snyder, Scarlet Snyder, Kaleigh Mattox, Colin Lynch, Parker Manning, Easton Manning, and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. There will be a funeral for Mrs. Turner at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Commerce, with Reverend Tim Osborn and Steve Patterson officiating. Funeral Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to First Baptist Church of Commerce Children’s Ministry.
