Genevieve R. Moore

Genevieve Ring Moore left this earth on Saturday, March 2, 2013 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Genevieve was born December 31, 1920 in Carmen, OK to Birney E. Ring and Ethel Mae Gagnebin Ring. She married Gordon Eugene Moore on March 7, 1942 in Abilene, TX where Gordon was stationed with the 45th Infantry Division. Four children were born to their union. Upon Gordon’s return from service overseas, Genevieve and Gordon established their home in Wichita, Kansas, moving to Tulsa, OK in 1957. Retirement years allowed them to move to their country home in the Disney, OK area. In later years they relocated in Miami, OK. Genevieve continued to delight in God’s nature all the days of her life. Genevieve had a servant’s heart, working faithfully in each church she and Gordon attended throughout the years. Genevieve loved to study and meditate on God’s Word and shared God’s truth as she diligently taught children and adults in Sunday School classes for many years. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Carl and Dean Ring, one sister, Dorothy Fox, her husband, Gordon and her beloved grandson Brian Barger. She is survived by her sisters, Amy Davis and Patricia Romero of Tulsa, OK; son, Terry E. Moore and wife, Judy of Roswell, GA; daughter, Janet Barger and her husband, Wesley of Miami, OK; daughter, Pam Keeling and her husband, Ron of Chandler, OK; daughter Anita Larkin of Tulsa, OK; by her 10 grandchildren, John Moore, Stephanie Dunn, Candice Caisse, Aaron Keeling, Amy Keeling, Rebekah Gibson, Anna Willcox, Sara Carney, Micah Keeling and Rachel Moehle, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandsons. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 5:30 PM until 7:00PM at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. A celebration service will be held on Thursday, March 7th at 10:30 a.m. at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 5 B NW, Miami, OK 74354 with Pastor Howie Moss officiating. Interment will follow at the Osborne Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Assembly of God Church of Commerce, Oklahoma’s food pantry. Casketbearers will be John Moore, Steve Dunn, Aaron Keeling, Micah Keeling, Darin Carney, Doug Willcox. Honorary Casketbearers will be Ryan Moehle and Cole Moore.
