Chuck McMinn

Chuck L. McMinn, 72, of Rural Seneca went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 20, 2017 surrounded by his family. Chuck started this life on January 20, 1945 in Peoria, Oklahoma where he was born to Clark and Una (Frost) McMinn. He is a Veteran of the United States Army during Vietnam. On October 5, 1981 he married his wife of thirty five years Marsha (Marold) in Edwardsville, Illinois. Chuck was very accomplished in everything he did, he was a Golden Glove Boxer, a thoroughbred racehorse trainer and owner and Pa to his grandchildren who he loved dearly. He worked at Hormel before leaving and pursuing his dream of training horses full time. The family would follow the seasons at the different racetracks. He and Marsha are members of First Christian Church in Miami. Chuck is preceded in passing by his parents Clark and Una, and a brother Clarence McMinn. Survivors include his wife Marsha of the home, his children, Travis McMinn and his wife Missi of Bluejacket, Rocky McMinn of Wyandotte, Brandon McMinn and his wife Jessica of Wyandotte, Renee Norris and her husband Mike of Overland Park, Kansas, Brandon Graham and his wife Lisa of Seneca, Tonya Stogsdill of Joplin, and Justin Graham and his wife Lacie of Joplin, a brother Bill McMinn and his wife Barbara of Miami, a sister Mary Ingles of California and his sixteen grandchildren Allison Vanatta, Chelsey Vanatta, Kelsey Bamberry, Catherine Slaton, DougE McMinn, Ellie McMinn, Shelby Young and her husband Luke, Chelsea Webb and her husband Dillon, Braxton Graham and his wife Megan, Blaze Graham, Tatum Stogsdill, Triston Stogsdill, Lane Graham, Jaxson Graham, Ella Graham and Jaycie Graham. Visitation will be from 1PM until service Time at 2PM on Thursday, Feburary 23, 2017. Services are 2PM, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at First Christian Church in Miami with Pastor Jared Joslin officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery with American Legion Post #147 Funeral Detail providing military honors. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami. Casketbearers will be his grandsons Braxton Graham, Triston Stogsdill, Lane Graham, Jaxson Graham, Luke Young and Dillon Webb. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church of Miami.
