May 14, 1931 - June 22, 2020
Rosalie Munoz was called to heaven on June 22, 2020. Rosalie was born May 14, 1931 to O.T. “Slick” and Faye (Carter) Hatfield at Miami Baptist in Miami, Oklahoma. She spent her entire life in her hometown and while attending college at NEO A&M she met Frankie Munoz who became the love of her life and her best friend. They were married on January 19, 1951 and lived life hand in hand for the next 62 years until Frankie’s passing in 2013. Rosalie spent many years being a loving homemaker and working at United Way. She will leave behind a legacy of faith and family. Rosalie was a patron and member of the choir at First Baptist Church for over fifty years. Her devout faith was always her guiding light. Anyone who knew Rosalie was aware of how special her relationship with Frankie was. Their families were blessed to have such a constant example of how well two people could love one another. They spent as much time together as possible and found joy in the little things. They loved to dance together and even embraced spending time sitting on the porch or running simple errands in each other’s company. They were inseparable and the memory of their love brings joy to all who got to witness it. She extended that loving nature to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren making it a point to be a constant supporter at birthdays, graduations, and family events. Although she will be dearly missed, her family is at peace knowing that she is finally with God and her loved ones who passed before her. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frankie B. Munoz, an infant son Johnny Munoz, and a sister LaRue Gaines. Surviving family are a son David Munoz and his wife Susan of Bixby, Ellen Jurgensmeyer and her husband Curtis of Miami, her grandchildren Andrea Forrester and her husband Brian, Jason Munoz and his wife Andra, Corey Munoz, Kallie Bryan and her husband Michael, Laura Jurgensmeyer, and Alex Jurgensmeyer, and her six great-grandchildren Max Munoz, Brooks Munoz, Sidney Forrester, Noah Forrester, Tripp and Champ Munoz. Visitation for Mrs. Munoz will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Rasor officiating.
