Mary Janette Yandell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Janette Yandell was born October 7 1933, in Caney, Kansas to Elmer and Lizzie Bell (Greer) Jones. She lived in Northeast Oklahoma most of her life. She graduated from Miami High School in 1951 and earned her LPN license in 1961. During her career in healthcare she owned and operated the Fairland Nursing Home and the Miami Child Care Center. She was very creative and could paint, sew, knit or succeed at any other craft that she tried. In her retirement she volunteered at the Christian Thrift Store in Grove, OK. She also repaired dolls and stuffed animals and donated them to the children’s shelter. Mary passed away October 28, 2021 in Washburn, Missouri, where she had been living with her daughter and son-in-law the past few months. Mrs. Yandell was preceded in passing by her parents Elmer and Lizzie Jones, her sister Violet and brother Verle, her husband David Yandell and her son Timothy Montgomery. Surviving family includes Tim’s wife Jerri Montgomery and their daughters and families Kristi, Ted, Dakota, Jakob, and Josiah Tate Sarah, Zac, Jenni, Molly and Maci Hiatt. Her daughter June Galloway and husband Tom and their children and families Jessica, Brandon, Desmond, and Jack Call Mallory Sanders, Sol Kim and George Kim Amanda and Lexi Sanders Aaron, Rachelle, Jordan, Casey and Olivia Russell Kerri, Mike, and Dakota Wood Lucy, Jason, Phoenix and Troy Honzell Nieces Frankie Teich, Sharon Treichel, and Twyla Yandell, many great nieces and nephews, cousins And Petey the Parrot who had been her companion for 17 years. Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Ottawa Indian Cemetery. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
