James "Jim" Diamond

July 17, 1945 - December 24, 2020

James "Jim" Diamond, 74, a longtime Miami resident passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home. Jim was born in Gary, Indiana on July 17, 1945 to Joseph and Angelina (Johnson) Diamond. Mr. Diamond was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami, Oklahoma, during his 74 years Jim retired from the United States Army, was the Commander for the DAV, Tri State Na-Voice member, Knights of Columbus member, and a part of the American Legion. Jim is preceded in passing by his parents Joseph and Angelina Diamond and sister Joann Kelley. Those left to share Mr. Diamond’s memory are wife Judy Diamond of the home, sons James Diamond of Lawton, Oklahoma, Tony Diamond of Lawton, Oklahoma, stepson Mike Wright of Paris, Texas, daughters Sandra Coffee of Marlow, Oklahoma, step daughter Jody Ray of Quapaw, Oklahoma, sister Joyce Johnson of Arizona, seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 7, 2021 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Wyandotte Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
