Imojune Hale

February 21, 1934 - April 4, 2022

Imojune Hale, 88, passed away on April 4, 2022. She was born February 21, 1934 in Columbus, Kansas to Earl and Bertha (Holley) Shipley. She attended grade school at Mount Pleasant School in rural Cherokee County, Melrose, Kansas and graduated High School in Columbus. She married Don Hale September 1952. She held several bookkeeping positions in her life working at Miami Stone and Security Bank & Trust Company both for about twenty years. She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Bertha Shipley, and a sister Norma Jean Shipley-Fell. Survivors include her love of Sixty-Nine years Don Hale, two sons, Milton Hale, and his wife Judy of Miami, and Randy Hale and his wife Ruth of Columbus. She has eight grandchildren: Kelley Hensley and her husband Ronnie, Courtney Hale and her husband James, Lindsey Pilkinton and her husband Joe, Bryon Hale and his wife Christine, Scott Hale and his wife Lacy, Craig Hale and his wife Shannon, Lacie Conard and her husband Todd, Kendal Hale, and his fiancé Payton Frossard. She has sixteen great-grandchildren: Carter Hensley, Grayden Hensley, Ellasyn Hensley, Rylee Talbot, Cannon Talbot, Parker Talbot, Hayden Pilkinton, Ledger Pilkinton, Cailyn Hale, Josephine Hale, Adler Hale, Kenton Hale, Ryker Hale, Lathan Hale, Brady Hale, and Kinley Conard. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Christian Church in Afton. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus with Reverend Geoff Buffalo Officiating. Services are under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton.
